It was 2022 and I was in my 15th year managing world-class global IT support organizations. After cultivating multiple global support teams and earning recognition for innovative solutions, I had become the go-to person for results. Not only was I respected for providing world-class IT services—I had become well-known for my unique management style. I knew how to keep my staff engaged, productive, and happy. Employees loved working for me, and former colleagues regularly asked if I had any openings on my team.

However, despite my reputation, I found myself feeling overlooked, under-appreciated and burnt out. My advancement opportunities were limited, and my pay was stagnant, even after furthering my education and taking on new responsibilities. I knew there had to be a better way, although it became increasingly evident that a new path would lead outside of my current role and organization.

As I applied for jobs and considered alternate ways to use my unique skillset, my sister suggested I consider a consulting business.

And a lightbulb went off.

I realized I could channel my passion and mastery of leading well to create meaningful, productive, and joyful leadership and team environments. Not only could I address my own challenges—I could help other leaders create a healthy work environment where employees feel appreciated and want to go the extra mile every day.

And with that, Creative Management Strategies and The Leader’s Compass program were born. Now, I leverage my unique leadership style and understanding of what it takes to motivate IT support organizations and I provide a framework for leaders to learn how to motivate their teams to perform at their highest levels. Realizing my full potential has meant helping leaders realize their full capabilities and build thriving, fulfilled, and highly productive teams. I’m thrilled to be at one of the most incredible highs of my career—and I can’t wait to help you and your team find yours.
